Beau's Owie

I gots an OWIE again! Dis time I jumped on da stove and it was still HOT! I know I did dis before but I forgotted. Da last time it didn't hurt dat much but dis time it HURTS. Mom tried to put ice on it but I wouldn't let her. Update: I gots blisters it looks like on a few toe pads. Plus I keep wavin my paw in da air. The good fing is that is my signal to gets temptashuns when I play the slap me five game wif mom. So I keep going to high five her and she gibs me treats coz she feels so bad dat my paw has da owie.See my paw? Mom says it looks the same as it always does wif a little pink on dem pads but there might be a little white around da black on da last toe pad. It might be a blister. I don't finks I'll be jumping on da stove again.

  1. BeauBeau, I did that too last year. Mum was furry worried and took me to the VET since I kept favoring one paw.

The stove wasn't real hot but enough to make my pads get scabby. Mum now uses something to cover the warm burners on tht stove until they cool. Just so I don't do it again.

  2. That looks like 4th or 76th degree burns! Try dipping your paw in a glass of icey waters.

  3. oh no Beau Beau!!! The ice will make it feel better if you lets your mommy keep it on there. Derby's mom is right - our mommy does that too. She puts clean empy frying pans on the burners so that we doesn't jump up there. we don't anyway, but you nefurr know. - Miles

  7. Ow. Doood, don't do that again! No, the thing to do is wait until a Peope is near the hot stove and when they bend over, jump on their back. They won't get hurt but they'll sure think they're gonna be!

  8. Oh, the best thing to do is to kiss that Owie, over and over again. Poor Beau Beau. You probably need some extra Temptations, too.

  18. Poor boy! My mom worries about us doing that so if she's using that thing (which thankfully isn't that often) and we go into the kitchen, she gets all weird and starts waving her arms and scaring us away.

  24. Poor Beau Beau! When I was a curious youngster, the beans had reely ugly safety fings across the stove front to keep my boy away frum it. They was long strips of clear plastic an they kept me off, too.
Know what? I fink if I needed ice on my paw an wouldn't let my woman put it there, she'd put me out in the SNOW! Cuz we had no ice an the boy hurt his ankle, an she filled a bag wif snow to put on it. Brrrr!
