Sunday Selfie Catch up Weeks

Sunday Selfie

We are late today with our Sunday Selfies but better late than never.  I'm off with my weeks for the Selfies for Tomas and Teagan and had wanted to capture them each week while I'm getting pics of them from their Mom Colleen.  So I'm playing catch up for Weeks 6 & 7.

Here are a few pics for some more squeeeeeeness!  They are growing so fast and you can see the changes in them.

Week 6:

They both weighed 2 lbs.  They take pawsome selfies don't they? (with the help of their Mom Colleen)!  She reports that it is very hard to get clear pics because they are always moving so fast.

Teaghan Week 6 - look at the size of her paw!
Tomas Week 6 - Such a lover face!

Week 7

Teaghan - Week 7 - 2lbs, 5 1/2 oz

Tomas - Week 7 - 2 lbs 5 oz.
Tomas is doing his man-cat in training move on that ball!  More of those stories to come on future Mancat Monday posts.

That's it for now.  Thanks for looking at our selfies!

The Poop Story - Week 5

Tomas with his favorite red ball.

This is a picture of Tomas from last week when he was 5 weeks old!  Does he look like a kitten calendar poster boy or what?  We didn't do a Sunday Selfie last week but wanted to tell you the poop story.

Last week Tomas was the first one to eat canned kitten food and he and Teaghan were nibbling on dry food. Which leads to... poop... then leads to using the litter pan!  First a little tootsie sized poop was found in the box.  Mom Colleen and I were waiting to see what happened with the litter and who would cover up their poop!  Tomas and Teaghan delivered... literally... and are covering their poop! Now you would think that this is a natural event but it seems that some cats do not cover up their poop. MOL!  For instance, one of my brothers has a farm in Maine and had some Maine coon mix kittens that were born in one of the barns last year.  The story goes that they apparently never covered their poop!  He had never seen this before but there it was... poop left out in the open.  Why is this, you wonder?  One theory is that some cats (an alpha cat for example) leave their poop for other cats to cover up.  I'm not sure of other reasons, but whatever they are, Tomas and Teaghan knew what to do.

Teaghan has a question...
Teaghan is wondering if other kittens and cats cover their poop?  Do you have a poop story to tell?
