Teaghan on Tuesday Christmas present

Mom got this coffee cup from her friend Mary. She's smart! That's cuz she has a cat too and her name is Emily Dickinson. Emily knows that she's the boss and we knows that we are the boss.  Hah!  Only thing is it should say cats not "a cat" cuz there are two of us.  As for our purresents we got.... Ribbon! With snoopervised play only.

Tommy checkin' out Liam's Christmas card purresent

Happy Christmas Eve Day! Our Grrrreat Nephew, Liam, painted us a picture and, sniff, sniff, it smells like... FOOD! Lik, lik, hmmmm, it tastes like... FOOD! Holy cod, FOOD of all things, on PAPER! Ya'll don't know this about me but I loves to eat paper. And now I have found the best of all, food on paper!

Liam's Mom made him some Veggie Baby paint so he could have safe paint to paint with. It has Organic potato starch, corn starch, psyllium husk, beet, tumeric, spinach, spirulina and hibiscus powders.  and make us this nice Christmas Painting.  Thank you little Liam, you are the bestest!

Thankful Thursday's Christmas Tree

We are so thankful we have a Christmas tree this year! Finally, after 5 years of being afraid we would maul and rip it apart or worse or hurt ourselves on the tree,  now we have one!  It looks so nice in our Caroliney room and looks like we have three trees from the reflections. One of them looks artsy too with the lights looking all flashy. This tree is my favorite spot to hang out and play hide and seek with Teaghan.

Thank you all for stopping by and commenting/saying hi to us. We really appreciate it.

Thankful and Throwback Thursday with Beau Beau

Recently we've been thinking of Christmases past, and our Angel cats, Beau Beau and Angie. It's been a strange experience moving to a new place and finding new fun and happy things to do, people to hang out with, and finding new traditions along with continuing old ones.  Here's one of our posts from the past (Dec 16, 2010) with Beau Beau. Oh how we miss him so!

Beau Beau:  "Thankful Thursday, Toes on Thursday or whatever.  I wuz tired of lookin up for Santy Paws so I need a nap.

Lots of changes goin' on in peoples lives at the end of dis year.  In a time of love and happiness there is much sadness.  We hope that people choose to keep any happiness as their strongest thought.  Know that no matter what you are always loved. "

XO everyone!

Awww Monday Christmas Cookie contest

This season we wanted to try and get a lot of Christmas Holiday events and fun activities in. This particular event was the State Port Pilot Cookie Contest held in Southport NC. There were cookies with a display to vote on.  We originally thought it was like a cookie walk where you pick up a cookie from many different types to buy. It wasn't that, it was many displays and you voted on your favorite at the end. We liked the Elf on a Shelf one because it made us laugh. And my favorite was the Baklava Thumbprint cookies display with the cookies used as the wheels. Very clever. After the walk through, you got to take a little bag of assorted cookies home. Cute and fun event to do in town and may become an annual event. As of yet the winner hasn't been announced. It will be announced in the State Port Pilot's Christmas week's edition.

This one had a large Elf on a shelf trying to steal the cookie.

Feline Friday and The Christmas Trees

The Ts Christmas Trees

Our mom is making us doing a month of Christmas related things this year. That's what happens when you watch too many holiday movies. And cuz last year during the big move and the condo from h#ll (CFH) we didn't really have a Christmas and no decorating except for the one thing you will see below.

First, we have a photo of me under the tree at our new house. Our Gram-meowmy wanted to see a picture of us under the tree cuz she said she can't have a tree cuz her kitties destroy push it over.  As you can see only one of us gets to go under the tree at a time.

The next photos are from Christmas past when we were in the CFH with our scraggly nice little piney thing that Mom picked up from the super big food store.

Then we have the Christmas tree in the town of Southport NC. It overlooks the Cape Fear River and is very pretty. As you drive down the road towards the water you see the tree at the end.  Not too many views of the water like that in a town. That's why it's so touristy here Mom says.  We think Mom needs to get a better picture than that! And finally, there are some Christmas light trees on the boats from last year's Southport Flotilla. Hope you enjoyed our tree show.

Purrs, Tommy

Tommy, home with our first Christmas tree. This is just a spot where we go to play hide and seek. No orneyments were injurd on this tree... so far...

Caturday Art - Light with Tommy

Tommy:  Mom what did you do to me? I'm all lighted up! Am I a lightworker?

Mom:  You can be a lightworker if you want to Tommy and help other kitties :-).

Our favorite app for fun stuff with photos is PS Express. Its pretty easy to use and keeps us in the iphone ipad loop. I take tons of photos with my iphone so it's a simple to use photo enhancer, removes backgrounds, and there are lots of quick options for themes and to make a quick instagram post with words, etc. I like the overlay effect with lights, bokeh and things like that to "prettify" pics like the one that I did here with Tommy's photo. It's L10 in the overlay section. I also lightened him up a bit before so he has an overall light effect.

Hope you like Tommy's light look!

Thankful for our new house - Part IV of The Move

Thankful Thursday and our rest of the move from Connecticut to North Carolina story.

Tommy:  Well Mom told us we were stuck in the condo for 5-1/2 months. These pictures above are some of the ones from the last months in the condo. We had finally settled in somewhat but wanted to know where our stuff went to. Were we stuck in this condo forever? I started to get a little salty and was pushing the humans to get us going. But then I helped Daddy with work on the 'puter and then I was Salty, (not sandy) but happy.  Then one day, OH NO, things started going in boxes again. We got stuck in the baffroom, then we got put back into the purrison box and into the loud metal machine again! Where were going, were we finally getting going back home?

We both meowed for what seemed like hours until the car finally stopped and went into a dark noisy room.

Teaghan:  Uh no, Tommy, it was only a five minute ride in the metal monster. Mom told me.

Tommy: Well it felt like forever.  Meow.  After the monster stopped making noises we got let out of our purrison box and put into a new place. Then WOW! What was this? We smelled our litter box! We smelled our old smells! Were we back to our old house again? We sniffed around and around and we found our beds and we found our old bed that still had our smells all over it. We jumped right up into our old old bed from when we were little kitties and settled right down.  We now had a new room with big windows to look outside again.

Here we are all relaxed and happy with our new sunroom and some new stuff that we put our furs and smells all over again.

We talked to each other and decided we like it here in our new house.  We are very thankful for our new place and enjoy it very much.

Some of our other favorite spots in the house:

Our new eating spot. Wait where is the food? I only see water here. Is this a trick?!

Teaghan found the bathroom. What's this? Is this a hidey spot?

Here is a nice room where we can look outside and watch people come down our road.  And sometimes we can see leezards out the window too.

This place feels and looks like our old spot where we wait for the food too. And the sun comes in and we can sit here and warm up or cool down.

Thanks for reading our move from Connecticut to North Carolina. We hope you enjoyed it.

Ahhhhhh this is the life!

Teaghan and an Awww Moment on Monday

Sunday Selfie(s) of Tommy

Hey it's me, Tommy! I get to have a Sunday selfie again this week. I asked the Mom to help me again this week so we could get more than one eye in. I don't know what she was thinking! Look what she did. Hey - my face is higher than my butt you know.  Finally at the end we got another one but it's still only one eye! Maybe by next week I can figure out how to get both mine eyes in.

Plus the final part of the move story, Part IV, is supposed to be coming this week too.  Check back and read the rest of the story and we will show you where our favorite spots in the house are.

Caturday Photo Art with Teaghan

Hi everyone, it's me, Teaghan. My Mommy make this pretty art picture of me staring adoringly at my Food Daddy right before he brushed my furs. She used Photoshop Express and the Bokeh overlay B08 to add these pretty bubbles.

We are joining the Caturday Art blog hop a little late today. Mom cooked a Turkey dinner today so they could have sandwiches this week. I think they might get tired of turkey. They better not come after our food for something different. Hah!

Purrs to everyone.

We give thanks for life, for everyone in our lives,  for a wonderful place to live and love and play in every day, and for plenty of food and clean water to eat and drink. Life is good today and every day.  Have a wonderful, blessed day filled with things to be thankful for!

Easy Like Sunday taking a nap

We couldn't really call this a selfie since Tommy is sleeping and he couldn't hold the iphone haha. He's actually up on the shelf in the closet too high for me to reach him. The interesting thing about this is that Tommy has not slept in his kitty bed since we moved to North Carolina. On Friday, Bob (Food Daddy), brought the Christmas boxes down from the "room that no kitty goes in".  Since then Tommy has been yelling up the stairs from the bottom of the staircase or sitting in front of the door to that room and acting a little strange in general.  He's not sniffing around the boxes although he could have done that at night. And now I find him sleeping in his bed. We are not sure if he's remembering the old house with their smells still on them or the fact that there are boxes stacked up again in the middle of the house, or just because Bob went in the room where no kitty goes and he saw him do it.  The curious cat forever wanting to explore new spaces.  Either way it's something different and I'm actually happy that he's using his bed again.  Just hope he doesn't roll off it while sleeping/dreaming and hit the floor! 😅

Friends on Friday - Part III of the Move

Before the Ts tell the rest of our move story we wanted to say hi to all the friends we've known from all the past years and new ones of cat blogging. As Beau Beau and Angie, it was a time for creativity and a place to make new friends. Since they have passed many life changes have happened. It's time to focus more on our newest furry friends, Tommy and Teaghan, time to renew friendships, and time to meet new ones here in blogger land.  And a special thanks for Ann at Zoolatry who helped to get us blogging again with a new header and answers to questions!

Tommy:  Where did we leave off? Oh yeah the ride from h#ll.  Teaghan sang the song of her people all the way, with a twist, singing "ma ooooh" "ma ooooh" all the way until our Meomy finally let her out of our purrison and held her on her lap. Then it was my turn on her lap except I still kept panting.

We left in the dark and when we finally got out of the car it was dark again. We thought we were home until we got inside the new place.  It smelled like a herd of woofies and other kitties were in there.  We sniffed around and around. Where was our stuff? Where in da world were we?

Mom and the Food Daddy told us were in a place called North Carolina. We were going to live in this condo until we went to another house. It was really warm here in Caroliney and we had a real porch to go out on so we could breathe fresh outside air and watch birdies all day!

Teaghan:  Everything was ok once we sniffed the place out. And then we heard it. The scary noise from above. Someone was above us. Clomp clomp stomp stomp they went. Back and forth and back and forth. What kind of monster was up there? What was it? And is that the noise of a wolfie? clickity clickity clickity nails back and forth from room to room.  We ran from room to room thinking someone was going to come through the ceiling! Mom would get scared from the noise and jump up and say bad werds at the ceiling. Lots of bad werds. Werds we never heard before.

Teaghan looking up at the ceiling when the people above us were stomping around every time they went from the couch to the kitchen area.

Tommy watching the people go by from the screened in porch

Us in our bedroom so we could sleep near our humans

This was another room we played in sometimes. Usually just wanted to get our furs on it. Not too much stomping in here. Sometimes Daddy worked on his 'puter in here.

Teaghan found a nice chair to sit in and take a nap an the color matched our furs

There was a real comfortable couch here that Tommy liked. Mom and Food Daddy spent many hours sitting here reading.

Tommy kept an eye on things outside from here sometimes.

Keeping an ear and eye on the stompers above us.

The stompers (and probably the long ride) bothered Tommy so much he gotted sick. Mom and the Food Daddy had to bring him to the emergency v.e.t. cause we couldn't get in anywhere else and found out he had a UTI. He had to take medicine for a while and then he was back to his normal self, playing hide and seek with me.

Finally we settled in and just kept an ear on the clomping monsters and clicking doggies that came and went every few weeks.

We can't tell time but Mom told us it was five and a half months we were in the condo when it was only supposed to be two months. The humans were not pleased. Then one day we had to go in the metal monster again! Oh no! Where were they taking us this time!?

To be continued for the final chapter...
