Today I had to go to see the Doktari (that's what Mommy calls the v.e.t.). My ears have been bothering me something awful. Mommy can't even pet me without me shaking my head like crazy. I've been gettin the gooshy stuff in my ears since I've been livin with Mommy and the gang but she said it was time to go see Doc coz it didn't seem to be working . It was the beginning of a snow storm so we had to go there early before it got too snowed out. I have a new cardboard box for the car because I gave myself a manicure in the big box the last time I went to the Doktari. This time Daddy was supposed to go with us so Mommy could hold me but he hads to work. I only ripped the new box a little this time but I think I'm making the holes bigger so I can sees outside and enjoy the sights. I got to see Doc Sr. again today. I likes him. He likes me too coz he says I'm such a good girl. I don't make a peep. Mommy had to peel me off her sweather coz I was still scared though. Then doc looked in my ears. He said they looked good and the buggies was all gone. Why'd mommy drag me all the way out here then? I got some more different gushy stuff to put in my ears instead just to clean em out a little. So now we leave to go home but Mommy has to get lunch. Does she bring me home first in the big snow storm? No. She wants to buy food instead of make it at home. So guess what happens? When she puts on the brakes the car keeps going. Ut oh. I feel the car go dud dud dud dud... coz I can't SEE out of the box... then boom boom. I was strapped in the front seat wif my seatbelt on the box so I didn't slide on the floor. Mommy says the potty mouth word, then ut oh Angie, we just gots in an accident! Luckily we only went across the road (and no other car was coming) and over the curb a little. She backed up and everything was ok. Phew. That was a close one. I hope she learned her lesson and next time brings me home first so I can get MY food and treats for being such an angel at the Doktari office. Kisses to all. Angelica

Glad you alls are OK. Mum straps my carrier box down with the belts too. Don't want to go flying around in cases somebody drives crazy.
ReplyDeleteOh, how scary that must have been for both of you! My mom makes us wear a seatbelt on our troll boxes when we go to the cat fix-it place too.

ReplyDeleteYou must have been scared, Angie! I am glad you and your mum are OK. My mum always makes me wear my seatbelt in the car. I had ear mites about 18 months ago and I HATED having stuff put in my ears, it took two people to do it!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad effurryone is okay! That happened to my mama in the snow last week too and the car hadded to go to the vet. I had ear mites when I first came to live with mama and my bruvver, they are so icky. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adventure Angelica!
ReplyDeleteglad your ears are better and you car didn't get banged up.

What is it about snow storms & cats? We had a (rare) snow day in 2000, and that was the first time Bonnie was ever sick. She had "hair balls" too many times in 24 hours, so thru the snow I went, just to have them hydrate her and send her home. Natch, she was FINE. Too much snow for work or school, but hi-ho, to the vet I go!
ReplyDeleteWinter is zap-a-cat season, so my poor ears get zapped efurry time they pets me... eventually, I flinch even when I don't get zapped. Maybe that's it. When my woman was a girl, they took their cat to the vet in the back of a station wagon, under a clothes basket. NO seat belt for cat or kid! No snow, either, but still!
ReplyDeleteOh, and we're all glad you, your mom, and the car are ok.
ReplyDeleteOh Angie, please let us know if your ears are better.
