Fridays Flowers and Stuff

The humans are finally back from Bar Harbor, Maine. We did't get to talk to owr friends dat much when dey were away so we has lots of catchin up to do. And, No, dey did not bring us back any lobster dis time eifur. Dey ate it all there. Plus dey ate a squillion blooberrries. Next year we might get to go wif dem an check owt da place coz Mom wants to live in Bar Harbor. Den I finks we can get all da lobster we wants.
BB&A

BB&A Mom: Here are a few photos from the area. I was practicing travel photography for the online class I'm taking now. As soon as I go through the hundreds of pics I took I'll be creating a gallery online and will post a link if anyone is interested. Bar Harbor is a photographer's dream.

Flowers from Thuya Gardens in Northeast Harbor. The gardens are a blend of semi-formal English border beds and Maine woodlands situated on a granite hillside overlooking Northeast Harbor. Absolutely beautiful and so organized. If only I had the time to make my own flower beds look that good!

Frenchman's Bay right across the way from where we stayed. The smell of the ocean combined with the scent of pine trees is heaven. The sail boat in the picture is the Margaret Todd. We didn't take any rides this time because the weather was not that great all day.

On the way home I just happened to catch this out of the corner or my eye and managed to get a quick pic. Some beauty was getting a nice up front view and ride to somewhere. Once home we had to do something with all the blueberries we bought as we left Bar Harbor. Whole wheat blueberry muffins. The pie is next!
I'm glad to be back home with my furkids because I missed them like crazy. But, sigh. Why do vacations go by so unbelievably fast?

  1. Beau Beau and Angie, your mom has a great eye for photography! Those pictures are gorgeous. (I'm still upset at her for not bringing you back any lobster, though.)

  16. Your photos are just stunning! (I like the one of Beau Beau catching flies with his mouth, personally.)

ML is going to bake her first ever no bake low carb blackberry pie today. No bake is her kind of baking, plus it is "that time of month", whatever that is code for, and she is obsessed with sweet fatty foods. Pecans instead of crust. And she wonders why her weight loss efforts have stalled.
