Me finks someone has a scrambled brain.  Reely?  Reely?  Do you reely finks dis is a good place to leave a bunch of chick-hen eggs? 

Fireplace Glow with Angie

This is the time of year when we start having fires in the fireplace on the weekends.  While searching for the Photo Hunt Fall photo I found this pretty picture of Angie from last Christmas.  I was messing around with the camera and the lights off the tree made those little football shaped lights above her head. 

As I was thinking about this picture of Angie, we had an interesting discovery about our fireplace. We happened to be burning a fire in it the whole weekend party for ambiance and partly just to take the chill off.  Then Sunday we were cleaning out the ashes when we noticed that one brick was still pretty hot and it still smelled like smoke.  After studying the brick for a while we realized it could be taken out.  Lo and behold there was an ash box in the bottom of the fireplace loaded with ashes and old pieces of burning wood!  We never knew it was there.  The door to clean it out is in back of it in the furnace room.  The previous owners had obviously been using it regularly since it's so full and they had not cleaned it out.  Now that we know about it we can relax and have a nice fire again next weekend.  Hoping to get some more cute pictures of Beau Beau and Angie.

Photo Hunt - Fall

A furry strange fing happened dis Fall in Connecticat.  Instead of leaves falling and me getting to watch dem all day, snow fell instead!  Most of da leaves hadn't even started to fall.  Yoo can see lots of green leaves still left on da tree.  It wasn't as bad as last year cuz dat storm snapped all da weak branches off then.  Dare are still some leaves left on da trees here so I gets to watch dem and da fat squirrels!

We're baaaaaack!

Heh heh I begged long enuf to get da lady to open da 'puter an help me blog again!  It's been a long time since we been here so we wanted to show yoo dat we am still here and we looks just about da same.  We gets on Facebook sometimes but try not to go dare too much cuz da lady gets kind of obsessed wif fings like dat so we keep her paws tied up so she can't go on as much as she wants to.  Reely, we sit on her paws and stare at her reel scary like.  Hah!

The camera has not been owt too much dis year but when it does da lady likes to see how far she can get dat fing up my nose it seems.

And here's a good one of Angie just to show you she's still around too.   She loves to sit owtside on da deck on a little chair da lady found for her.  Efur since da v.e.t. stole her top teef she has marks on her face where da bottom teef come up over her top lip.  Makes her look kinda cute don't you think?

So hi to efurry one and hopes to see yoo around again.  We want to blog once a week for fun!  We finks dat would be do-able.   See you around!

Friday in July Update

Hey Lady!  Yoo finks yoo could let me inside to get some more foods?  Geez, what's a mancat to do?

Yeah, we know we have been bad about blogging for a while now.  Seems like it's a lot easier sometimes to just post on Facebook.  Lots of things happening in the innernets so we've been trying to learn lots of new things, trying new foods, staying healthy (yeah, rite Mommy haf yoo heard my sniffles in the last few days...) and generally just trying to have fun and enjoy this wonderful awesome  warm summer!  Yay!  Well, maybe that's partly why Angie and Beau Beau each got a upper respiratory infection.  Angie's sneezing and general symptoms were pretty mild.  She slept just a little more and wanted to go outside just as much.  A week or so after her symptoms went away, then Beau Beau got the sneezies.  It seemed to affect him much more (well, hate to generalize but he is a MAN cat...) and he sneezed a LOT more and slept a lot more but I think he's going to be fine.  I believe because they are so healthy to begin with that however they caught this virus that they are able to fight it off in just a few days.  Beau Beau is sleeping again early this evening but after a few hours of running around today.  I gave him a small dose of vitamin c this morning and with his evening meal so we'll see if that brings him back to normal.  We're having a party tomorrow so either he's really going to get a workout or he'll just want to hang out in our bedroom.  Haven't heard him sneezing in the last couple of hours so that's a good sign!

Parker P. Miller "Paaahkar", passed gently to the Rainbow bridge.

One of our bestest bloggin kitteh furriends on da entire blogosphere, Miss Parker Pie Miller, passed away from cancer on Thursday, May 24th, 2012.  We are so sad and at the same time understand she has now moved on to spread her wonderful love around  "Over the Rainbow Bridge".  May she be running and playing with a happy heart and spreading her love to all those wonderful furriends who have gone before her.  Parker is gone but truly will never be forgotten by us.

It's Angie's Gotcha Day!

Well, fank you FB furriends!  Mine Momma almost forgotted mine gotcha day!  And dat is so increddible since it one of da biggest and bestest events in her whole life when she found me at da shelter.
I know some of yoo know da story, but here it is again.

Mine Meowmom had been going frew some changes in her life when she mooved in wif Daddy and our hyooman sisfur.  She missed her cat from before but it just wasn't da rite timing when she ferst mooved into da new place.  Den after a while and some life changing events,  space opened up in her universe for some new furry love.  Mom started having dreams of a fluffy white kitteh.  Now she was surprised about dis cuz her cat from before was a handsome black and white, sweet as could be Tuxie (dats why she always goes squeeeee when she sees one of da tuxie cat blogging kittehs).

She became obsessed wif da thot of a furry white kitteh and started looking on da 'puter at all da kittehs in da local shelter, and petfinder.com.   She could not stop thinking bout da white kitteh.  Finally, she went to da Meriden Animal shelter wif owr Dad and who do yoo finks dey found?  Yeah, it was da big mouf Beau Beau.  He was six months old, short white haired, he was sweet, he cuddled up all sweet like in Daddies arms and Daddy fell in love wif him instantly.  But wait!  Wuzn't it Mom dat wanted a LONG haired white kitteh she was lookin for?  So, for a while she thot she had found da white kitteh Beau Beau da monster.  But Beau Beau wanted to play all day an he thot Mom wuz his Mom and he gave her dem big round eye look efurry time she left da howse.

Well, then Mom started having dat obsession again like she hadn't found what she wuz looking for.  Plus she figured Beau Beau needed someone to play wif besides her.  So she got back on da 'puter again and looked and looked and den thot she would jus go back to da Meriden shelter again to see who wuz dare (cuz dey haf LOTS of kitties there).

So she duzn't efun wait for Dad to go wif her dis time, she goes and does what ofur people haf said to do, she walked into da big kitteh room and stood in da middle and jus looked around and waited.  She looked and looked and den all of a sudden she felt some paws on her legs and she look down and dare I wuz wif mine paw stretched up to get her to pick me up.  She saw all dat white fur just like she had had been dreaming about.  She picked me up and I schootched up and wrapped mine arms around her and started purring and would not let go.  Mom almost started crying right there on da spot.
She had to let me go but she knew I was da one.

Da next day Dad came back wif Mom to get me and some ofur lady wuz dare trying to take me but Dad knew Mom wanted me and he ranned owt to da front office and grabbed da PTU (prizzoner transpurt unit).  Dat day tho it wuz a (Princess Transport Unit) :-).   He got da paperwerk all done and we were owt of dare lickity split.  It's like da Grinch who Stole Christmas story.  Moms heart swelled a Hundred Times dat day.  And, I am forever grateful for mine forever home and so is mine Mom.

Thanks for all your Gotcha Day wishes and reading mine story.
Oh and Yes, mine official name is Angelica but it just turned into Angie.  I still gets called Angelica by Daddy and sometimes by Mommy when she is yellin at me to come inside.  Dad sings mine name to me as "Angeleeka".  Yoo know dat when yoo calls someone all different names it makes dem a little crazy? :-)

Thankful Thursday

Hi Anipals! Raise yur hand if yur sure - Yep I am sure thankful I haf a nice place to hang owt wif mine Mom.
Plus we am so thankful dat Kimo finally came home to his howse too! Boy him decided he wanted a little adventure and off he goes. Den he comes strolling back like nuuuuuffin happend an like it had only been a few minnits. If only he had a web cam on!

Florida Pics on Friday

Ok our human finally got around to getting some of dare Florryda baycashun picshures togefur.
Ferst, here is a view from dare room on Clearwater Beach, FL.  Dis bridge goes to Sand Key.  One day dey took a trip ofur dare to do some shopping and look at more of da pretty water and see a Veteran's Day boat parade.

Dis is a view from dare room.  It looks like dey were in jail!  We bet if we went wif dem we would haf been put behind deze bars for da whole week.  

 Here is da view at Sunrise looking out towards more of Clearwater Beach.

Here are da birdies we wuz telling yoo about.  Man dey am some big birdies and dey eats fish rite owt of da water!

 One day down past Madeira Beach was a boat parade for Veterans Day.  Dis boat wuz all decorated in flags and wuz probably da prettiest one.

Here is anofur one of doze Pelican birdies comin in for a landin after eatin anofur fishie.  Da birdie wuz watchin da parade too.

 Now we haf some funny picshures of Wally da Red Sox troll dat goes on baycayshun wif da beans efurrywhere.  Wally gets to see lots of stuff.  He wuz loving da beautiful white powdery sand on Clearwater Beach and wuz drinkin a margarita.

 It took him a while but Wally did a good job tossing back most of it.

After drinkin' dat margarita Wally decided to take a nap and get some sun.

Later dat night da beans went out to Columbia Restaurant on Sand Key and had one of best meals dey efur had. Dis dish was roast pork, Boliche, Empanada de Picadillo, platanos, yuca and black beans and rice - probably owr Mom's favrit food in da werld.  She said da Boliche was melt in your mouth, most flavorable, hands down best she has efur eaten.  She wants to fly back to Florryda just to haf dat food again.  We finks we'll stick to stinky goodness owt of a can or some raw chick-hen fank yoo very much.

But da bestest part of da vacation of all for owr Mom bean wuz getting to see her fambly finally after 30 years!  Owr Dad also got to finally meet da in-laws and now he has a new Dad and Mom and three, count dem wif me... three new brofurs-in-law!  And one brofur has a beautiful wife and two daughters and Mike da speshul guy who is like brofur number four.   So we gots lots of new fambly to put owr furs all ofur when we gets a howse in Florryda one day.

Life is good!

Thankful Thursday

We am thankful dat owr humans are home from dare Florida trip to see owr Grampy and Grammy and big Brofurs.  We hafs nefur seen dem and it was a loooooooong awaited reyoonyun for owr Mom.  It was more den a squillion years since she had seen her Daddy and Stepmommy.

So offs she and Daddy went to Florida and left us behind.  Now we wants to go to meet owr Florida fambly too.  I am all reddy to go in da suitcase!  We herd bout all da food dey ate and all da birdies dey saw and how nice da fambly was so we wants in on da akshun.   Dis cold stuff up here in Connecticat is fur da birds!  Hah!

Ok so it's not wordless Wednesday, it's more of a wordy Wednesday.  Can yoo see mine toofie marks now dat I has no upper teefs?  Da v.e.t. does not tell yoo dat when dey take owt yur upper teefs dat yur bottom teefs will sit on da owtside of yur mouf lots of times.  Mom is still not sure dat I reely needed doze teefs taken owt to begin wif.
Now I hafs some problems wif a back molar toof so I guess a bisit to da v.e.t. will be coming up furry soon.  Well at least I get to drive da metal monster again and looks owt da window at what is going on.
Wait - what duz Mommy mean when she says she will let yoo know so yoo can stay off da road when I am driving?

Easy Like Sunday after the Snowtober Storm in Connecticut

 Snowtober in Connecticat.  Ferst owr yard looked like dis.  I wuz jus watchin' da leaves fall from mine perch.  Angie wuz hangin' around on da deck da ofur day in da picture below dat.

 I had lots of fun watchin bigggggg snow flakes come down along wif da leaves.

Here is da back yard dis morning after lots of branches came down overnight.  

A big tree branch fell off of da neighbor's rotting tree an hit da howse.  Dis is a winder where we sits an watches his birdies fly in and owt of da rotten tree holes.  We all heard da tree hit da howse around midnight.  Angie was sleepin right near dat winder all day.  We am thankful to God dat da tree did not go frew da winder.

 Dis is owr Magnolia tree in da front yard.  Not a happy Magnolia.  She looks a little better alreddy dis afternoon after da snows melted off.

 Here is some more branches dat snapped off.  Da Maple trees all were touching da ground.  Branches are all ofur da place.  We can't go owtside today cuz stuff keeps falling off da trees.  It sure is purrty today though!

So today we am taking it Easy Like Sunday Morning!

Mancat and Tocks Day

Well it's Mancat Monday and it's also a late show us your Tocks for Derby's birfday on Oct 20.  We am trying to make up fur it by showin a few tocks pics for Derbs.  So Derby - yoo reddy for dis?  

Dis one is a high tocks in da air - like a tocks of respect pose.  

Dis one is Daddy is trying to help me to pose while owr Mom wuz gettin a tock pic but she clicked to fast an got a little more den she wanted to see.  It's still a tail high pic so dats a good tock shot for yoo.
